Product details
The visible aluminium skin is available in different alloys, thicknesses and surface finishes – mill finish, primed or coil-coated. On request, the surfaces can also be finished with decorative coatings, laminates or veneers to meet specific design requirements in interior applications.
larcore® consists of two aluminium skins and a high-strength, hexagonal aluminium honeycomb core. The core provides exceptional rigidity while keeping the weight to a minimum. The layers are bonded together in a continuous production process and pressed into a homogeneous, dimensionally stable panel. All components of the composite are made from aluminium, thereby meeting the highest requirements for:
- recyclability
- easy processing
- fire safety regulations
The standard alloy for the aluminium skins is high-quality, strong and seawater-resistant EN AW 5754 (AlMg3). Lower-alloyed EN AW 5005 (AlMg1) is available on request. The honeycomb core is manufactured from corrosion-resistant EN AW 3003 (AlMn1Cu) alloy.
larcore® aluminium honeycomb panels can be sawn, milled, drilled or bent using standard metalworking tools. They are also suitable for bonded and mechanical fastening. Thanks to their dimensional stability and precision, they are ideal for industrial lightweight construction and demanding architectural applications. Users who are not yet familiar with processing larcore® are welcome to contact us for advice and support.
larcore® aluminium sandwich panels offer an exceptional combination of strength, low weight and processing versatility – ideal for applications where energy efficiency, robustness, large formats and durability are essential. Typical areas of application include shipbuilding and rail transport, vehicle construction and high-quality interior fit-outs. Thanks to their resistance to changing climatic conditions and their full recyclability, larcore® panels are also an excellent choice for demanding architectural projects – both indoors and outdoors. The full potential of larcore® becomes particularly apparent as part of a complete system: combined with suitable substructures, fastening elements and other Hartmann products such as sheets and profiles, lightweight, stable and cost-effective solutions can be created for a wide range of applications.
