Electric, quiet and wrapped in authentic Ruhrpott charm: Hartmann's first fully electric lorry is now on the road – a Mercedes-Benz eActros 600.
Powered by two electric motors, it delivers up to 816 hp at peak output. For now, it is being used for daily delivery runs around Gladbeck. Fully loaded, it has a range of around 450 to 500 km, with a potential range of 600 to 700 km under suitable conditions. And it has already shown that it can go much further: on longer-distance journeys, it has travelled as far as Austria and Switzerland, covering distances of up to 2,500 km.
Looking ahead, we plan to continue expanding our charging infrastructure at our sites and make use of our extensive solar installations to supply the eActros with our own electricity – at virtually no additional energy cost.
The switch also makes economic sense in the long term: the higher initial investment in electric technology is offset by savings on road tolls and lower electricity costs compared with diesel.
Another important step on our journey towards greater sustainability in logistics. We are looking forward to seeing where the next kilometres take us!
